01 The challenge
Lámh Dhearg CLG's previous website had become outdated, and the club had never had a single, reliable home for fixtures and results.
During matches, scores were shared informally through WhatsApp — inconsistent, easily missed, and hard for the wider community to follow.
02 The approach
I designed and built a modern, match-day-styled site from scratch — fixtures, results, news and an interactive history — plus a dedicated live-scoring platform.
Everything the club changes regularly is editable through a private, role-based admin dashboard, so the site stays current without a developer.
Match-day scores that once lived in WhatsApp now update in real time — in one place the whole club can trust.

As Club Communications Officer, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and commend Aodh for the first-class job he has done in revamping our club website.
Aodh demonstrated a high level of commitment and utilised his expertise in ICT throughout the design and development of the website.
The comprehensive website covers all aspects of our busy club and will undoubtedly enhance the communication of information to our large membership and the wider local community. On the day of its launch, the website generated over 1,000 visits, which augurs well for the future and reflects the professional standard of the site.
07 Outcome
The site launched on 24 July 2026, giving Lámh Dhearg CLG a single, authoritative home for everything from match-day scores to club history — all kept up to date by the club's own volunteers.
It received 1,100 views on its first day. Traffic peaked during a hurling championship game with live scoring enabled, putting the match-day experience at the centre of the site from day one.
